- I am in college studying to get my bachelor's degree in Dietetics, after that I plan to get an internship, take the registration exam, and become a Registered Dietitian. There are few things I have felt as passionate about as I do about nutrition.
- I have an overwhelming love for cooking and all things food. Planning the meals I am going to eat and deciding how I am going to make them the easiest, healthiest, and tastiest I can is a gigantic (and much loved) part of my life. Though you won't hear much about it on my blog I enjoy being active and have always exercised in some capacity everyday. I played soccer for most of my life and have now become completely and totally enamored with running.
I hope you enjoy reading and trying out my recipes. I know I am looking forward to comments and suggestions from everyone!

Why Vegetarian?
-
I recently read the book Eating Animals and learned a lot about the "lives" and deaths of the animals we eat. I decided that refraining from eating animals as often as I possibly can makes me feel much more comfortable about my daily food decisions. Honestly I never really enjoyed or craved meat so it has been especially easy and fulfilling for me. I love the way eating vegetarian meals makes me feel, not just mentally but also physically and financially. If you care to know where the majority of the money you spend on groceries goes to and where the "food" on your plate comes from read this book.
With that said I would like to make note that from this point forward the recipes I post (and all the meals I eat) will be vegetarian, or contain only sustainably/locally farmed animal products. I hope everyone enjoys reading and trying my recipes even more now!
(My past recipes that included meat will also slowly be revised or removed entirely)<3
